Chicagoland Adventures

Sandra, Madison and I moved to Chicago in November of 2005 for our fifth move since we left Boise, ID in 1996.  We found an awesome town in the Western suburbs of Chicago called Saint Charles.

Saint Charles is great because the population is about 40,000 so it has a small town feel to it but we are only an hour from downtown Chicago and we can easily hop on the train to take it into the city.

We live in a farming community and this picture is of Sandra, Madison and me at a local farm that had some fun October festivities that day.  We hope that we do not continue moving across the country and we are looking forward to one more move back West one day where we can settle down for several years.

This past year I decided to host a Foreign exchange student from Tunisia.  Tunisia is in the north east corner of Africa. It is an Arabic speaking country..... Wow what a challenge.  It was been very adventurous adding another member into our household especially one from a different culture.  Here is a picture of the clan.  Back row: Samir (exchange student), Front row left to right: Alex, LaRissa, Jack, Meg, Chad.  It has been a growing experience for all of us. We are going to take a break this for the first half of next school year and then go for it again.
